Thanks for the info and you are right OSPF works but that isnt really 
routed multicast.  My guess is the rumor is true that the interface between 
a PIM implementation for Linux 2.4 and 2.6 are very different.  As of yet I 
havent found any PIM implementations for Linux 2.6
