For those who are forced in the latest craze by their peers to do md5
authentication, but don't want to rebuild kernel, a userspace solution:


Using netfilter QUEUE target, it will sign outbound TCP packets with MD5 
checksum. It has been working in production for over 8 minutes with cisco, 
riverstone and a juniper routers. ;)

It could also verify signature, but that part is broken (or rather, 
computes wrong signature).
