In FreeBSD (and NetBSD), when an interface is renamed:
1- it is announced with the IFAN_DEPATURE message on the routing socket
    2- it is renamed
3- the new interface is announced with the IFAN_ARRIVAL message on
  the routing socket

  see case SIOCSIFNAME: from
    http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/sys/net/if.c?rev=1.206&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup
  for more information.

So are you saying that zebra doesn't have to handle interface renaming
on BSD? Or is there some desire to remap the config data on the fly
as well?
