First question would be - the old MT (prodding multiple topologies into
one "base instance" of IS-IS) or the new MI (cleanly separating multiple
instances on the link) stuff?  The latter is much cleaner, simpler and
way more flexible, at the cost of somewhat increased memory consumption.

They're not excluding each other (you can even run them on the same
link), but I'd say MT is more than double the amount of work of MI.

Also, this needs reworking the zebra core -- that can't properly handle
multiple copies (MT/MI) of the same protocol currently.  (You could fold
them and lose the information, obviously, but...)
