Hello,

By the way, have you activated the "ip_forward' feature in the kernel ?

You can do it by :

echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

or

add:
net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1
to your /etc/sysctl.conf and do "sysctl -p" to apply changes in the kernel.

Regards,

Benjamin.

Objet : [quagga-users 9181] Configuration problem

Hello,

I am learning how to configure bgp in quagga. I am begging to learn, so this
example is quite simple, I have two routers:

*	Router A

*	 IP: 192.168.1.1

*	Network to share: 10.1.2.0/24

*	Router B

*	192.168.1.2

*	Network to share: 10.1.1.0/24  <http://10.1.1.0/24>

*	Network to share: 200.10.228.0/22

My goal is share the routing information between A and B. I cannot see the
routes is a execute "netstat -nr", but if I enter by telnet to bgpd and I
type "show ip bgp summary" I can see to the neighbor, and If i type "show ip
bgp" I can see the routes tables. BTW, I cannot route.

Here is the configuration files:

! Configuration for Router A
hostname router-prueba1
password zebra
enable password zebra
log file /var/log/zebra/bgpd.log
!
router bgp 64910
 bgp router-id 192.168.1.2
 network 10.1.1.0/24
 network 200.10.228.0/22
 neighbor 192.168.1.1 remote-as 64911
 neighbor 192.168.1.1 soft-reconfiguration inbound
 neighbor 192.168.1.1 distribute-list freenet in
 neighbor 192.168.1.1 distribute-list freenet out
!
access-list freenet permit any
!
line vty
!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------

! Configuration for Router B
hostname router-prueba2
password zebra
enable password zebra
log file /var/log/zebra/bgpd.log
!
router bgp 64911
 bgp router-id 192.168.1.1
 network 10.1.2.0/24
 network 200.10.228.0/22
 neighbor 192.168.1.2 remote-as 64910
 neighbor 192.168.1.2 soft-reconfiguration inbound
 neighbor 192.168.1.2 distribute-list freenet in
 neighbor 192.168.1.2 distribute-list freenet out
!
access-list freenet permit any
!
line vty
!

Anyone can tell me what I am missing or doing bad?
